From China we bring sweet soft-seed pomegranates from Huili and Lintong, Ya and Korla fragrant pears, honey pomelo, Shatang and Ponkan mandarins, Yantai Fuji apples, Hami melon, Sunshine Rose grapes, fresh winter jujube, red-heart kiwi, lychee and longan.

Sweet pomegranates

Huili pomegranates from Sichuan and Lintong pomegranates from Shaanxi are sweet and low in acid, with seeds soft enough to chew. They sell to shoppers who eat pomegranate fresh, by the spoon, rather than juice it. For the sour, deep-red pomegranate used in cooking, see the Turkish produce page.

Pears, pomelo and mandarins

Ya pear and Korla fragrant pear are crisp and juicy, eaten like an apple, and Chinese shoppers buy them by the box. Honey pomelo and Shatang and Ponkan mandarins sell hardest in the weeks before Lunar New Year, when they are bought as gifts, so book those weeks early.

Mixed pallets across our range count toward the minimum order, so Chinese fruit can ride on the same truck as the rest of your order.

Delivery and minimum order

Metro Vancouver orders go on our own refrigerated trucks, on standing routes. Delivery there is included above the minimum unless your quote says otherwise. Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba ship refrigerated as LTL or full pallets. Quebec ships refrigerated for standing volume accounts, as set out on the Prairies and Eastern Canada page.

The minimum is $300 to $500 per delivery, depending on your delivery area.

Ordering

Chinese fruit sells wholesale only, by the case. Metro Vancouver runs on our own trucks and the rest of Canada ships refrigerated. Routes are on the shipping and delivery page, and how pricing works explains why prices come by price list rather than on the site.
