Sell Fresh Produce to Canada from Peru, Mexico and Chile

Shaly Foods Inc. is a wholesale produce importer in British Columbia. We are looking for suppliers in Peru, Mexico and Chile: growers, packhouses and exporters of fresh fruit. We sell by the carton and the pallet to grocers, restaurants and distributors across Canada. If you grow, pack or export any of the fruit below, send us your offer.

Fresh fruit only. We are not buying coffee, Medjool dates or any dry dates. Fresh Barhi dates are the one date we want.

Suppliers we are looking for in Peru, Mexico and Chile

Anything else you grow

Goldenberry and sweet granadilla from Peru. Cactus pear, nopales, tomatillo, chilies and fresh herbs from Mexico.

Why send your offer to us

We are the importer in Canada

You deal with one company. We handle customs entry, CFIA import paperwork and refrigerated delivery to the store.

The buyers already ask for this fruit

Our customers are Persian, Arab, Afghan and Turkish grocers and restaurants. Mango, grapes and Barhi dates are lines we already sell to them.

No trading chain in the middle

We buy from the grower, the packhouse or the exporter. Fewer hands between your crate and the shelf means a better price for both sides.

Payment terms in writing

The terms for a first shipment are agreed in writing before it leaves your port.

What to put in your first offer

Product and variety

For example Red Globe grapes or Kent mango. Include the class and the size or caliber.

Loading window

The weeks you can load, and how long the season runs.

Pack

Carton weight, cartons per pallet and pallets per container.

Price and basis

Price per carton on an FOB or FCA basis, and the port or airport you ship from.

Smallest shipment

The smallest load you will send for a first trial.

Photos and papers

Photos of the fruit, the carton and the packhouse. Your GlobalG.A.P. or other certificates, and your plant protection registration (SENASA in Peru, SENASICA in Mexico, SAG in Chile).

How a first shipment works

1. You send the offer

Use the form below or WhatsApp.

2. We review it

If the product and price fit a window we are buying for, we write back and ask for photos or samples.

3. A first shipment

We agree the size and the terms in writing before anything is loaded.

4. A season program

If the first load lands well, we plan regular shipments for the rest of the season.

Papers a shipment needs

A commercial invoice, a packing list, the bill of lading or air waybill, a phytosanitary certificate from your national plant protection office, a certificate of origin when asked, and a temperature record for the load. The Canadian side of the checklist is the same for every origin, and it is set out in our guide to exporting fresh produce to Canada, written for Turkey.

Tell us what you grow or export. We read every offer.
